the details

Everything you need to know.

WHERE

Set right on the lake — proper Northern coastline, twinkly lights, the kind of place that looks made for a NYE disco. Plenty of room for the dancefloor we keep banging on about.

WHEN

Pin it to the diary: Thursday 31st December 2026.

This one's a twilight do — slow burn, late finish. We're not the wedding-at-noon types. Things kick off as the light's going (think golden hour, candles on, the lake doing its thing), then we dance the year out and roll into 2027 together.

There'll be food, drink, cake, sparklers and at some point a midnight countdown that'll either be magical or chaotic — possibly both.

Times to follow with the proper invite. For now: clear the night, book the morning off, and don't make NYE plans elsewhere.

THE KIDS BIT

We love your little ones, we really do - but for this one, we've decided to keep it adults-only. We want you to be able to let your hair down, hit the dancefloor, and toast the new year without having to worry about bedtime or find the "baby shark" remix.

Consider this your official excuse for a night off. Grab a sitter, book a taxi, and come celebrate with us properly. We can't wait to see you there.

STAY OVER

Crosby and Waterloo are right by the venue and have plenty of options. Liverpool city centre is 15 mins down the road if you fancy that instead. Either way: book early, NYE fills up fast.

The Royal Hotel, Waterloo

Five mins from the venue, overlooking the Mersey. Family-run, been going since 1816, free parking, breakfast included. 25 rooms, get in quick.

Rooms from ~£97/night

Book direct · Or via Booking.com

Airbnbs in Crosby & Waterloo

Loads of options — apartments by Crosby Beach, 4-bed houses (perfect if you're travelling as a group), barn conversions, the lot. All a short cab from the venue.

Travelling as a gang? Splitting an Airbnb tends to work out cheaper than a hotel — plus you've got somewhere for the after-party recovery breakfast.

GETTING THERE

Trains: Waterloo (Merseyside) station is a 10-minute walk away. Trains run every 15 minutes from Liverpool Central — just head for the Southport line. If you're coming from further out, change at Lime Street for Central.

Driving: There's plenty of free parking at The Lake House. If you're leaving your car overnight, just make sure it's picked up by 10am the next morning. Set your satnav to L22 1RR.

Cabs: Since it's NYE, do not wing it. Pre-book your taxi for the way home well in advance. Delta Taxis (0151 922 7373) or Uber are your best bets, but expect them to be busy.
